Spending his formative years growing up in Europe, Chef Alex and his wife, Ana, eventually opened and operated a successful restaurant in Spain.
As they began to start their young family, they made the move to Santa Barbara, CA. Chef Alex helmed the kitchen at the beloved local restaurant, Arnoldi's, for many years.
Meanwhile, Chef Alex became actively engaged in the elementary school his two sons attend. He sought to bring delicious, nutritious food to the students, expanding their palates beyond typical cafeteria food. Paella, pumpkin soup (made with pumpkins from the school's organic garden), burgers with homemade buns,... The kids love Chef Alex's food, and continue to be game to join him on the adventuresome food journey he creates for them.
The families of these kids wanted in on this great food, and it is from here that the concept of Parish Kitchen Cafe arose.
Chef Alex decided it was time to create the opportunity to helm his own kitchen, follow his vision, and make his food.
Every week, Chef Alex offers 1 to 2 menus for families to take home and enjoy. Made from scratch, Chef Alex sources only the best local ingredients for every thought-out meal. Very little preparation is necessary on the customers' end.
An accomplished caterer, Chef Alex is equally adept at helping you plan delicious food for your next event, large or small.
